Giovanni Marongiu civic museum<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The sculptural heritage of Mont’e Prama is impressive: 44 sculptures, including archers, warriors, boxers and\u00a0models of nuraghes,
\nplus numerous betyls.
\nBut the number grows continuously with the continuation of the excavations and the restoration of the sculptures.<\/h2>\n

Know the Giant<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

On 22 March 2014 the two rooms devoted to the Mont\u2019e Prama sculptures were inaugurated<\/strong>. The statues and other restored sculptures are exhibited in the show Mont\u2019e Prama 1974-2014<\/em><\/strong>, set up in parallel with the National archaeological museum of Cagliari.
\nIn 2015 a third room was opened, with the most outstanding findings of recent excavations, which are promptly restored.
\n<\/strong>An imposing group of sculptures<\/strong>: in the museum are on show 9 statues of the heroes of Mont\u2019e Prama<\/strong> \u2013 3 archers, 1 warrior and 5 boxers, 8 nuraghes\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 2 simple, 3 four-lobed and 3 eight-lobed, and 2 betyls<\/strong> in sandstone.<\/p>\n

\nFor the first time, visitors can admire the sculptural complex from every angle.<\/strong>
\nThe exhibition offers, in fact, a 360-degree encounter with eight sculptures of Giants and six models of nuraghe.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

In the context of the exhibition, CRS4 has created high-resolution,\u00a0life-size 3D reconstructions
\n<\/strong>that can be used through the specially\u00a0created multimedia stations<\/strong>\u00a0situated\u00a0in the exhibition halls
\nand, recently,\u00a0a simplified geometric version<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0the 3D reconstructions of the entire sculptural\u00a0complex
\nwhich are made available on this website for the first time.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The other collections of the museum<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
